A large Louis XVI Fireplace Mantel in the French Regency manner, in lightly veined Italian white Statuary marble, the frieze decorated with a floral central plaque with very fine quality gilt-bronze ormolu swags and panelled decoration each side bordered with gilt pearl beading. The columns are stop fluted and decorated with light ormolu adornment and an unusual ormolu cuff to the footblock, French circa 1880.
